The North-Central All Progressives Congress (APC) Forum Chairman, Alhaji Saleh Zazzaga, has dismissed predictions of President Bola Tinubu’s defeat in the 2027 presidential election, stating that there is no scenario where the APC will lose.
In a statement issued in Abuja on Friday, January 3, 2025, Zazzaga expressed confidence that Tinubu’s policies would transform Nigeria, securing overwhelming support from voters by the time the election arrives.
This statement comes in response to remarks by Hashimu Suleiman Dungurawa, Kano State Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), who had earlier warned that Tinubu’s “anti-people” policies could lead to his defeat in 2027.

Dungurawa also touted Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as a preferable alternative to Tinubu.
Zazzaga, however, argued that Tinubu’s decisive actions, such as the removal of fuel subsidies and the floating of the naira, were necessary steps to place Nigeria on the path to economic recovery.
“There is no magic that will make Tinubu lose the 2027 presidential election,” Zazzaga asserted. “His bold reforms will stabilize the economy, improve living conditions, and solidify his re-election bid.”
He cited visible improvements, including the strengthening of the naira, increased oil production, rising foreign reserves, and enhanced security across the country, as evidence of Tinubu’s effective leadership.

The APC chieftain further highlighted Tinubu’s tax reforms, describing them as “pro-poor” and advantageous to small businesses.
Zazzaga concluded by reaffirming the North-Central APC Forum’s endorsement of Tinubu for a second term, emphasizing that his administration had prioritized infrastructure, security, and economic growth in the region.
“Nigerians will see the benefits of these policies by 2027, and President Tinubu will emerge victorious,” he said.
