NNPP Warns Tinubu Of 2027 Defeat Over ‘Anti-Masses’ Policies

The Kano State Chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Hashimu Dungurawa, has predicted a resounding defeat for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election due to what he described as the Federal Government’s “anti-masses policies.”

Speaking in Kano on Thursday, Dungurawa accused Tinubu of implementing policies that have worsened the economic hardship faced by Nigerians since his inauguration on May 29, 2023.

He expressed confidence that the NNPP, led by former Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso, would emerge victorious in both state and federal elections in 2027.

“From the day he took office, Tinubu began imposing policies that have made life unbearable for the masses. It’s only a matter of time before Nigerians unite to replace him with a true democrat like Kwankwaso,” Dungurawa stated.

He highlighted the NNPP’s efforts to establish strong grassroots structures across Nigeria, noting that the party had made significant progress since 2024 and was poised for greater success.

Dungurawa also dismissed rumors of Kwankwaso’s alleged plans to return to the All Progressives Congress (APC), calling them an attempt to tarnish his reputation. He warned the Federal Government against any attempts to impose a one-party system, urging the adoption of policies that would alleviate the suffering of the populace.

The NNPP chairman praised Kano State’s NNPP-led government for its achievements in infrastructure, empowerment, and human development, stating that the state now stands as a model of modernization.
