Tinubu Departs For France Ahead Of AU Summit In Addis Ababa

President Bola Tinubu has left Abuja for Paris, France, on a private visit, according to his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Onanuga explained that the trip to France is en route to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where Tinubu will attend the 46th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council and the 38th Ordinary Session of the African Union (AU) Heads of State from February 12 to 16, 2025.

“While in France, President Tinubu will meet with his French counterpart, President Emmanuel Macron,” Onanuga added.

The presidential spokesman confirmed that Tinubu is expected to arrive in Addis Ababa early next week for the AU summit.
