Enugu Air Aircraft Veers Off Runway In Benin, Passengers Escape Unhurt

An Enugu Air aircraft operating into Benin on Thursday experienced a runway excursion after landing, triggering an emergency response but leaving all passengers and crew members unharmed.

The airline confirmed the incident in a public notice, stating that everyone on board safely disembarked without any injuries or casualties.

According to Enugu Air, the aircraft has been secured while the relevant aviation authorities have been notified in line with standard safety procedures.

The airline disclosed that an assessment of both the aircraft and the circumstances surrounding the runway excursion is currently underway to determine the cause of the incident.

The development is expected to cause temporary disruptions to some flight schedules, with the carrier assuring affected passengers that they will be contacted directly and provided with the necessary assistance.

Reassuring customers, Enugu Air said the safety of its passengers, crew and operations remains its highest priority.
