‘I Ghosted My Girlfriend After Meeting Davido’ — Peruzzi

Nigerian singer Peruzzi has revealed that the excitement of meeting Afrobeats star Davido contributed to the collapse of his seven-year relationship.

Speaking on the “Lights, Camera, It’s My Turn” talk show alongside media personalities VJ Adams, Tope Olowoniyan and singer Falz, Peruzzi admitted he stopped communicating with his girlfriend for days after his life suddenly changed.

According to the singer, frequent travel, fame and exposure to a new lifestyle after linking up with Davido left him disconnected from his relationship.

He recalled being overwhelmed by experiences such as flying to Dubai and Lebanon shortly after meeting the DMW boss, saying the excitement made regular communication with his girlfriend less of a priority.

Peruzzi admitted he “ghosted” her for days, joking that she would be fine, but later acknowledged things might have turned out differently if he had been deeply in love at the time.

His comments have since sparked reactions online, with fans debating how fame and sudden success can affect personal relationships.
