The Nigerian currency, the naira, appreciated against the U.S. dollar at the official window on Thursday.
At the official window, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) foreign exchange data showed that the naira closed at N1,342.30/$1, compared to N1,343.70/$1 on Wednesday.
This represents a gain of N1.44 for the local currency against the American dollar.
At the black market, the Nigerian currency, the naira, gained N2 against the American dollar to trade at N1,400/$1 against the previous day’s rate of N1,403/$1.
The local currency gained N5 against the British Pound, trading at N1,890/£1, as against the previous day’s N1,895/£1.
The naira closed flat against the Canadian dollar to trade at N1,100/CA$1 the same as the previous day’s rate of N1,100/CA$1.
The naira closed flat against the euro, trading at ₦1,615/€1, the same as the previous day’s ₦1,615/€1.
