In New Year Message MWUN PG Congratulates Maritime Stakeholders, Says Sector’s Future Promising

As Nigerians joined the rest of the world to celebrate the New Year, the President-General, Nigerian Maritime Workers Union (MWUN), Dr. Adewale Adeyanju has congratulated maritime stakeholders while expressing optimism that the sector’s future looked promising.

He further noted that the maritime industry will bounce back to reckoning again urging Nigerians to be of good cheers as they celebrate the new year.

In a statement on Tuesday, Adeyanju congratulated all maritime stakeholders and urged Nigerians to celebrate the new year with joy, love and happiness amongst each other, eschewing violence, crime and other vices during this festive period as this is the season of love, giving and sharing, wishing all Nigerians a happy new year.

Comrade Adeyanju who is the Deputy President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Vice President Global, International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) thanked God for the relative peace the country has witnessed during the periods of political turbulence throughout the outgone year 2024.

He charged all Nigerians, especially in the maritime sector to be resilient in whatever they do and pray for the expected turnaround of the industry for the betterment of the sector and for Nigerians in general.

The foremost labour leader in the maritime sector in the country also praised Nigerians for their patience in the face of the excruciating hardship, insecurity and other challenges the country is presently going through, saying that the Almighty God will compensate every Nigerian as we enter into the new year 2025.

Prince Adeyanju further said that it’s only God who knows the heart of everyone and at the appropriate time the country will be relieved of all that it has been passing through politically; and that in no distant time, Nigeria will regain its glory and the citizens will be better for it
