President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has restructured the executive management teams of 12 River Basin Development Authorities (RBDAs) under the Federal Ministry of Water Resources.
This move underscores his administration’s commitment to enhancing agricultural productivity, rural development, and efficient water resource management.
The new leadership teams, representing diverse regional expertise, aim to deliver improved services and align their operations with the administration’s goals of bettering the lives of Nigerians.

Announcing the appointments in a statement, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, emphasized that the changes are geared toward technical efficiency and effective governance.
Ogun-Osun RBDA – Hon. Odebunmi Olusegun (Chairman, Oyo), Engr. Dr. Adedeji Ashiru (MD, Osun), Ayo Oyalowo (Executive Director, Finance, Oyo), among others.
Upper Benue RBDA – Alh. Sanusi Mohammed Babantanko (Chairman, Bauchi), Samuel Mahmud Mohammed (MD, Taraba), and others.
Chad Basin RBDA – Prof. Abdu Dauda (Chairman, Borno), Tijjani Musa Tumsa (MD, Yobe), and others.
Benin-Owena RBDA – Hon. Mike Ohio Ezomo (Chairman, Edo), Femi Adekanbi (MD, Ondo), among others.
Niger Delta RBDA – Chief Ebikemi Boi Bosin (Chairman, Delta), Hon. Amgbare Ebitimi (MD, Bayelsa), and others.
Upper Niger RBDA – Haruna Y. Usman (Chairman, Niger), Dangajere Shuaibu Bawa Jaja (MD, Kaduna), among others.
