NASS Debunks Claims Of Tinubu Presenting 2025 Budget On Wednesday

The National Assembly (NASS) has denied reports that President Bola Tinubu will present the 2025 budget to a joint session on Wednesday, November 27.

In a statement released Tuesday, Mr. Bullah Bi-Allah, Director of Information for the National Assembly’s Secretary of Research and Information (SR&I), dismissed the circulating news as baseless and false.

“The attention of the Secretary, Research and Information, National Assembly, Dr. Ali Barde Umoru, has been drawn to the purported fake news credited to him,” Bi-Allah said, emphasizing that the public should disregard the information.

The statement clarified that NASS has yet to approve the 2024-2026 Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and Fiscal Strategy Paper, which must precede the 2025 budget presentation.

Bi-Allah urged the public to seek accurate updates only through official communication channels of the National Assembly. Additionally, he warned against the spread of misinformation that could mislead citizens.
