MNJTF Troops Foil Boko Haram Attack In Borno, Recover Weapons, Contraband

Troops of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) in Borno State successfully thwarted a planned Boko Haram attack, neutralizing the threat before it could harm civilians. 

Acting on credible intelligence, the troops executed a tactical ambush, engaging the terrorists as they emerged from a forested area on motorcycles.

The terrorists attempted to flee but were met with heavy gunfire, forcing them to abandon their weapons and motorcycles. 

Following the operation, troops recovered an arms cache, including AK-47 rifles, ammunition, and contraband items such as marijuana and Tramadol.

The swift action not only prevented an attack but reinforced the MNJTF’s ongoing efforts to maintain peace in the Lake Chad region. 

Troops have intensified patrols to prevent any resurgence of terrorist activities.
