Oborevwori Felicites with Muslims at Eid-el-Maulud

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has felicitated with Muslims in the stateas they celebrate yet another Eid-el-Maulud which marks the anniversary of the birth of Prophet Muhammad.

The Chief Press Secretary to the governor Festus Ahon in a release made availableto Newsmen on Sunday, the governor called on Muslims to use the holy occasion topray for the peace and prosperity of the state and country at large, he said that the country was in precarious situation which needs prayers of all citizens to overcome the economic and security challenges the nation currently faces.

The governor called on Muslims nationwide to emulate the exemplary leadership of the Holy Prophet by embracing peaceful co-existence with their neighbours.

“On behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta State, I extend our warmest wishes to Muslims celebrating Eid-el-Maulud in Delta, Nigeria and around the world.

“My hope and prayer is that, as we celebrate, we will internalise the spiritual lessons inherent in the teachings of the Holy Prophet regarding piety, love, justice, fairness, equity, peaceful coexistence, tolerance and honesty. “ The statement read in part
