Tinubu Arrives In China For 5-Day State Visit

President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Beijing, China, for a five-day official state visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and advancing key economic initiatives.

Upon his arrival on Sunday, he was received by high-ranking Chinese officials and accompanied by governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State and Sani Uba of Kaduna State, as well as members of his cabinet.

During his visit, President Tinubu is scheduled to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping and tour major corporations, including Huawei Technologies and the China Railway and Construction Corporation (CRCC).

The goal is to accelerate the completion of the Ibadan-to-Abuja high-speed rail line, a priority project for the President.

Additionally, President Tinubu will engage with CEOs of 10 prominent Chinese corporations, managing assets worth over $3 trillion across various sectors.

He will also participate in the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit, joining other African leaders in discussions with Chinese officials on critical issues.
