Bilateral, Economic Issues Top Agenda As Tinubu Jets Out To China On Official Visit

Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday, August 29, 2024 departed Abuja for Beijing, China on an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and exploring economic opportunities.

This development was announced in a statement issued by his special adviser on media and publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.

He disclosed that the President’s trip includes a brief layover in the United Arab Emirates before arriving in China, where he will meet with President Xi Jinping and engage in discussions on cooperation between both countries.

On the sidelines of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, President Tinubu will also hold meetings with Chinese business leaders to promote investment and trade between Nigeria and China.

Senior government officials will accompany the President on the trip, which is expected to yield significant benefits for Nigeria’s economic development.
