Chidimma Adetshina Triumphs As Miss Universe Nigeria 2024

In a stunning turn of events, Chidimma Adetshina, the Nigerian model who faced xenophobic backlash in South Africa, has been crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2024.

The 23-year-old law student, who initially withdrew from the Miss South Africa pageant due to the controversy, made a triumphant return to her home country and ultimately secured the top prize in the Miss Universe Nigeria competition.

The grand finale, held at Eko Hotels & Suites in Lagos, saw Adetshina emerge victorious from a field of 25 contestants. Guy Murray-Bruce, President of Silverbird Group, the organizers of the pageant, announced her as the winner to a cheering crowd.

As Miss Universe Nigeria 2024, Adetshina will receive a cash prize of N10 million and other valuable gifts. She will also have the honor of representing Nigeria at the Miss Universe pageant, which is scheduled to take place in Mexico this November.
