PDP Governors’ Forum Denies Allegations Of Chairman Filing Suit Against NEC Meeting

The Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) has strongly refuted allegations that its Chairman, Governor Bala Mohammed, filed a lawsuit against the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting.

In a statement by the PDP-GF’s Director-General, Dr. Emmanuel Agbo, the forum dismissed the report as “dubious and malicious,” emphasizing that Governor Mohammed was not involved in any legal actions related to the NEC meeting.

Agbo urged party supporters and Nigerians to disregard the claims, which stemmed from an earlier online publication alleging that the governor sought a court order to convene the NEC meeting.

The PDP-GF clarified that the meeting was rescheduled to November 28th after consultations, to ensure party unity ahead of the Ondo gubernatorial elections on November 16th. Governor Mohammed also called for party solidarity and discouraged divisive rhetoric within the PDP.

The consultative meeting included key party members, such as the PDP Governors’ Forum, Board of Trustees, National Working Committee, National Assembly leadership, and the Forum of Former Governors.
