Unknown Gunmen Kidnap 10 Travelers In Rivers State

A group of armed sea pirates abducted ten travelers on Monday morning while they were traveling from Bonny to Port Harcourt by boat.

The incident occurred in the early hours of the day, according to the Chairman of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria, Rivers State District, Israel Pepple.

“This is not a rumor,” he said. “Ten people were kidnapped today while coming from Bonny to Port Harcourt. We have already reported the incident to the security agencies.”

When contacted, the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu, stated that he was not yet aware of the incident but promised to provide more information as soon as he received an update.
