A bitter confrontation between Nigerian streamer and comedian Carter Efe and controversial social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has escalated following a video in which the entertainer issued threats against the activist and his mother.

Carter Efe, in the video reported on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, challenged VeryDarkMan to file petitions against him across Nigeria’s 36 states, giving him two hours to take action.

The streamer, visibly angry in the recording, directed several hostile remarks at the activist, warning him against attempting to bring him down.

In one of the most controversial statements, Carter Efe invoked a curse against VeryDarkMan’s mother, declaring that the activist would suffer personal consequences if he failed to act against him.

He also made a disturbing statement suggesting that men could be sent to sexually assault the activist’s mother, drawing further attention to the severity of his remarks.

“I give you two hours, write every petition for the full 36 states. If I no use your petition paper do suya, call me bastard,” Carter Efe declared.

The statement appeared to be a direct challenge to the activist’s willingness to pursue complaints against him through official channels.

The latest confrontation comes amid a wider social media disagreement involving VeryDarkMan and discussions surrounding Nigerian music stars Davido and Zlatan Ibile.

Carter Efe’s involvement has added another dimension to the online dispute, which has attracted criticism and heated exchanges among entertainment personalities.

While disagreements between Nigerian celebrities and social media commentators frequently attract public attention, Carter Efe’s remarks have shifted the controversy from verbal exchanges to statements involving threats against a family member.

His comments concerning VeryDarkMan’s mother are particularly serious because they include language suggesting violence and sexual assault.

However, the available report does not establish that any attempt was made to carry out the threats or that a formal police complaint had been filed.

The confrontation underscores the increasingly personal nature of some disputes involving entertainment figures and online activists, where disagreements can quickly escalate through videos and social media posts.
