The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the new owners of Safeline Microfinance Bank are exploring strategic collaboration aimed at strengthening institutional ties and improving service delivery.

The development emerged on Monday, October 19, 2026, when the bank’s board, led by Malam Aliyu Abiodun, Chief Executive Officer of RoboPay Nigeria Limited and representative of the new owners of Safeline Microfinance Bank, paid a courtesy visit to the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, at the FRSC National Headquarters in Abuja.

The visit signals a move by the financial institution to build stronger ties with the road safety agency and explore areas of mutual interest that could enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.

Discussions during the engagement focused on strengthening the relationship between both institutions and identifying opportunities for collaboration, although specific partnership programmes were not disclosed.

Mohammed, who received the delegation, appreciated the team for the visit and reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to sustaining its relationship with the financial institution.

The Corps Marshal assured the delegation of the FRSC’s continued support and partnership, signalling the agency’s readiness to engage with institutions willing to explore mutually beneficial areas of cooperation.

The engagement comes amid growing interest in strategic partnerships between public institutions and private-sector organisations to improve service delivery, deepen institutional cooperation and strengthen operational capacity.

However, details of any concrete agreements, timelines or proposed joint initiatives between the FRSC and Safeline Microfinance Bank were not immediately made public.
