The Chinese automotive giant, which owns globally renowned brands such as Volvo Cars] launched three Geely Galaxy models at a ceremony held in Lagos on Monday.

The newly introduced vehicles include the Galaxy EX5 EM-i, Galaxy EX5, and Galaxy EX2, each designed to cater to different segments of Nigeria’s growing automobile market.

The EX2, an all-electric subcompact hatchback, was presented as an affordable urban mobility solution designed for city commuters. Geely said the vehicle offers low running costs and ease of use, making it suitable for drivers navigating congested urban environments.

Geely Galaxy’s entry into Nigeria comes as interest in electric and hybrid vehicles continues to grow across Africa, driven by rising fuel costs, environmental concerns, and the search for more efficient transportation options.

With annual sales exceeding 3.4 million vehicles globally, Geely ranks among the world’s leading automobile manufacturers and has built a strong reputation for innovation, intelligent vehicle technologies, and quality across both electric and conventional vehicle segments.
