Music Industry Controlled By Powerful Figures, Nicki Minaj Alleges

American rapper Nicki Minaj has claimed that powerful figures in the music industry control artists and can make talented musicians “almost invisible” if they refuse to comply with certain rules.

Speaking on The Bryce Crawford podcast, she said some industry gatekeepers treat musicians like “property,” using them primarily for profit while allegedly sabotaging those who do not cooperate.

The rapper described her experience as “constant spiritual warfare,” adding that she felt unprepared for what she now considers the deeper, spiritual dimension of the industry.

Minaj said she wished she had understood these dynamics earlier, noting that many of the challenges she and other artists face are not always visible to the public.

She did not name specific individuals but suggested that systemic control and manipulation exist behind the scenes in the entertainment world.
