Israel Orders Return To Classrooms Following Security Review

In a statement, the ministry said, “Studies will resume tomorrow in all educational institutions throughout the country and will take place in full, in-person and within the regular educational frameworks.”

However, schools in some northern communities near the Lebanese border will only reopen if classes can be held close to protected shelters due to the continuing threat of attacks from the Iran-backed Hezbollah group.

The decision follows updated security guidelines from Israel’s Home Front Command, which assessed that conditions were suitable for the return of students and teachers to classrooms in most parts of the country.
