Celtic Secure Scottish Cup Double As Iheanacho Nets In Final Win

Kelechi Iheanacho was on the scoresheet as Celtic F.C.defeated Dunfermline Athletic F.C. 3-1 on Saturday to win the Scottish Cup Final at Hampden Park.

Fresh from securing the Scottish Premiership title, Celtic completed a domestic double with a dominant display in the final.

Daizen Maeda opened the scoring in the 18th minute before Arne Engels doubled the lead 10 minutes before halftime.

Iheanacho, introduced in the 58th minute, made an immediate impact. After an earlier effort was ruled out for offside, the Nigerian forward got his goal in the 72nd minute, dribbling past two defenders and the goalkeeper before calmly slotting home Celtic’s third.

The 29-year-old ended the season with nine goals in 24 appearances across all competitions, while Josh Cooperscored a late consolation for Dunfermline.
