Arsenal Critics ‘Not Laughing Anymore’ After Title Win — Saka

Arsenal F.C. winger Bukayo Saka has fired back at the club’s critics after the Gunners clinched their first Premier Leaguetitle in 22 years.

Arsenal secured the crown on Tuesday after defending champions Manchester City F.C. were held to a 1-1 draw by AFC Bournemouth, giving Mikel Arteta’s side an unassailable lead at the top.

Celebrating at the club’s London Colney training ground, Saka said: “There was laughing, there was joking, they’re not laughing anymore.”

The title ends Arsenal’s long wait since their famous 2004 “Invincibles” triumph and comes after three straight runner-up finishes.

Manager Mikel Arteta was praised by former boss Arsène Wenger, while City manager Pep Guardiola congratulated Arsenal, saying they “deserve it.”

The Gunners will lift the trophy after their final league game against Crystal Palace F.C. on Sunday and could still complete a historic double with the UEFA Champions League Final against Paris Saint-Germain F.C. on May 30.
