Obasa Emerges APC Consensus Candidate For Agege Reps Seat

A large gathering of APC members in Agege on Saturday endorsed Mudashiru Obasa as the party’s consensus candidate for the Agege Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, strengthening his bid for national office.

The hitch-free primary exercise came days after Obasa declared his ambition, saying he answered calls from party leaders and stakeholders who believed he could better serve Agege at the federal level.

“I answered the call of our leaders and stakeholders who believe I can serve Agege better,” Obasa said, stressing the need to field candidates with “capacity, loyalty, and commitment” to the constituency’s progress.

Following his emergence, Obasa expressed appreciation for the support received from party members, describing the endorsement as a collective commitment to development.

“I am deeply humbled by the confidence reposed in me by our leaders and members,” he said. “Today’s validation is not just about me; it is about our collective resolve to continue building Agege and Lagos State on the foundation of progress and development.”

He also pledged to prioritise the interests of constituents if elected.

“My commitment has always been to serve with integrity, amplify the voices of our people, and ensure that Agege continues to stand tall,” Obasa said, adding that the endorsement had strengthened his resolve to deliver more democratic dividends.

Party officials commended the peaceful conduct of the primary, describing it as a sign of unity within the APC in Agege ahead of the general election.
