NITDA DG Advances Youth Development Through Digital Innovation, Global Collaboration

The Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, hosted the United Nations Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs, Felipe Paullier, in a strategic meeting focused on strengthening youth development through digital transformation.

The engagement provided a platform to explore collaborative opportunities aimed at empowering young people with the skills, tools, and platforms needed to thrive in today’s digital economy.

In his remarks, the DG highlighted NITDA’s strong commitment to youth-focused initiatives, outlining key programmes in digital literacy, innovation support, startup incubation, and capacity building that are designed to unlock the potentials of Nigeria’s vibrant youth population.

Kashifu Inuwa emphasised that young people remain at the heart of Nigeria’s digital agenda, noting that NITDA’s interventions are intentionally tailored to equip them with future-ready skills and create pathways for sustainable economic participation.

The meeting underscores a shared vision between NITDA and the United Nations to deepen collaboration in advancing youth inclusion, fostering innovation, and building a resilient, digitally skilled generation capable of driving national and global development.
