JAMB Dismisses Fake UTME Postponement Notice

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has debunked a viral claim that the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination has been postponed, insisting the exam will proceed as scheduled.

In a statement on Saturday, the board described the notice as fake and urged candidates to disregard it, stressing that all arrangements for the examination remain intact.

JAMB confirmed that the 2026 UTME will hold from April 16 to April 25, as earlier announced.

The clarification follows the recent mock UTME, which recorded technical issues in some Computer-Based Test centres. The board said affected centres have since been delisted.

It also warned candidates against fraudsters, particularly on WhatsApp, promising score manipulation, noting that offenders risk disqualification or withholding of results.
