Fans Sue FIFA Over High World Cup Ticket Prices

European fans have sued FIFA over what they describe as excessive ticket prices for the 2026 World Cup.

The complaint, filed by Football Supporters Europe and Euroconsumers, accuses FIFA of exploiting its control over ticket sales to impose high prices and unfair conditions.

According to the groups, final tickets start from $4,185—far higher than previous tournaments—while resale prices have surged as high as $143,750.

They also criticised FIFA’s “dynamic pricing” system for lacking transparency, though the body insists prices reflect strong global demand.
