Petrol Price Jumps To ₦1,175 As Dangote Refinery Adjusts Rates

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has increased the gantry price of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) to ₦1,175 per litre, marking the third price hike within a week.

The new price, communicated to marketers and depot operators on Monday, represents an increase of ₦180 from the ₦995 per litre announced on Friday.

The latest adjustment reflects an 18.1 per cent rise in three days, following an earlier increase from ₦774 per litre last week.

The refinery also raised the gantry price of Automotive Gas Oil (diesel) to ₦1,620 per litre.

The development comes amid rising pressure in the fuel market and ongoing adjustments in petroleum product pricing.
