“False, Baseless” APC Dismisses ADC Allegations Over Membership Registration

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has rejected claims by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) that civil servants were being pressured to participate in its ongoing electronic membership registration exercise.

In a statement issued by APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party described the allegations as “false and baseless,” accusing the ADC of attempting to discredit what it called a groundbreaking digitization of its membership register.

The APC further alleged that the ADC had circulated a fake membership slip suggesting that a notorious terrorist had registered with the party.

According to the APC, millions of Nigerians have voluntarily signed up under the initiative, which it said was inspired by the “Renewed Hope Agenda.”

The party noted that strong public demand had compelled its leadership to extend the registration deadline from January 31 to February 8, 2026.

“The ADC is intimidated by the phenomenal success of our Party’s E-Registration exercise,” Morka said, adding that the APC remained focused on advancing digital and democratic innovation across Africa.

The ADC has yet to issue a formal response to the APC’s rebuttal.
