JAMB Opens Sale Of 2026 UTME, Direct Entry Forms

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the commencement of the sale of application documents for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) admissions for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The announcement was contained in a statement signed by the Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, and shared on the Board’s official X handle on Tuesday.

JAMB said only candidates who will be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026 are generally eligible to apply.

However, underage candidates may be considered under strict conditions. According to the Board, candidates below 16 must score not less than 80 per cent in each of UTME or A-Level, Post-UTME, SSCE and an exceptional candidate assessment to qualify for a waiver. Their results will only be released after the evaluation process is completed.

Registration for UTME candidates, including those from foreign countries, will run from Monday, January 26 to Saturday, February 28, 2026, while e-PIN vending will take place from January 19 to February 26, 2026.

For Direct Entry candidates, the sale of application documents and e-PIN vending will run from Monday, March 2 to Saturday, April 25, 2026, and will be available only at JAMB state and zonal offices.

JAMB announced three categories of e-PINs: Direct Entry (₦5,700), UTME without mock (₦7,200), and UTME with mock (₦8,700).

The breakdown includes: application fee (₦3,500), reading text (₦1,000), CBT centre registration charge (₦700), CBT UTME service charge (₦1,500), bank charges (₦500), and mock-UTME centre charge (₦1,500).

The Board said the 2026 UTME will be held from Thursday, April 16 to Saturday, April 25, 2026, while the optional mock examination will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2026.
