12 Dead, 5 Injured In Kano Trailer Crash – FRSC Confirms

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed that 12 people died and five others were injured in a lone accident on the Zaria–Kano highway early Friday.

Kano Sector Commander Muhammed Bature said the crash happened around 2:40 a.m. at Samawa Village, Garun Malam LGA, when a DAF CF95 trailer loaded with goods lost control after its cab detached from the body due to mechanical failure.

Nineteen people were involved; 12 died, five sustained injuries, and two were unhurt. The dead were taken to Nassarawa Hospital, while the injured received treatment at Kura General Hospital.

Bature urged drivers to avoid speeding, dangerous driving, and other unsafe practices.
