PDP Urges Peter Obi To Return, Says Party Is Rejuvenated

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State has called on former governor and 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to return to the party.

Following a State Executive Committee (SEC) meeting in Awka on Thursday, PDP Chair Chidi Chidebe said the party is now “rejuvenated and restructured” and extended an open invitation to Obi and other former members to “return home.”

The communique warned against alliances with ideologically incompatible groups and urged Anambra voters to support PDP candidates Jude Ezenwafor and Francis Okeke in upcoming elections. Chidebe also called on INEC to ensure a fair electoral process.

The meeting endorsed Chief Clems Ezike as the state’s new National Ex-Officio and urged the Southeast zonal leadership to formalize his nomination.
