Lagos PDP Slams Jandor Over Defection To APC, Calls Him An ‘Agent

The Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has criticized Dr. Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor) following his return to the All Progressives Congress (APC), accusing him of being an agent sent to destabilize the party.

Jandor, the PDP’s 2023 Lagos governorship candidate, officially announced his return to the APC on Monday, weeks after resigning from the PDP, citing internal betrayal and lack of discipline.

Reacting to his defection, Lagos PDP Deputy Chairman, Tai Benedict, alleged that Jandor was planted by the APC to weaken the opposition. “He was never really one of us,” Benedict claimed. “His actions divided the party, and his departure is a relief.”

Meanwhile, the APC has welcomed Jandor back, with its Publicity Secretary, Seye Oladejo, describing him as a vibrant politician who has returned home.

He dismissed PDP’s claims of sabotage, stating that the opposition party was simply making excuses for its failures.

As the 2027 elections approached, the APC hinted at more defections, reinforcing its dominance in Lagos politics.
