Jimmy Carter Wins Posthumous Grammy For Best Audiobook Narration

The late Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States, has been honored with a posthumous Grammy Award for Best Audiobook, Narration, and Storytelling Recording.

Carter’s award-winning audiobook, Last Sundays in Plains: A Centennial Celebration, features his final Sunday school lessons in Georgia, where he reflects on themes of love, kindness, forgiveness, and the afterlife.

Released in August 2024, the audiobook also includes musical contributions from renowned artists such as Darius Rucker, Jon Batiste, and LeAnn Rimes.

Carter’s grandson, Jason Carter, accepted the award on his behalf, expressing gratitude for the recognition of his grandfather’s contributions.
