Trump’s Policies Could ‘Crush’ Europe – French PM Warns

French Prime Minister François Bayrou has warned that Europe risks being dominated and marginalized if it fails to counter the policies of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump ahead of his inauguration.

Speaking in Pau, Bayrou emphasized the aggressive stance of Trump’s administration on the dollar, industry, and investment, urging France and the European Union to take action to safeguard their interests.

“If we do nothing, we will be dominated, crushed, and marginalized,” Bayrou stated, stressing the importance of European unity in addressing the challenges posed by the new U.S. administration.

Bayrou also highlighted the growing influence of China, suggesting that Europe’s strategic autonomy is more crucial than ever.
