“My Stature Is A Blessing” – Motola

Nollywood actress Motola Odunsi, widely known as Motola the Actor, has opened up about her journey in the film industry, emphasizing the challenges, triumphs, and the unique advantage her stature brings to her career.

In an interview with Potpourri, Motola reflected on her career since joining Nollywood in 2018. She said: “I joined the industry fully in 2018, and since then, all I can say is that God has been faithful. Despite all the challenges, I am still here standing.”

Motola highlighted the attributes necessary to succeed as an actress in the competitive Nigerian entertainment industry. She stated: “To make it as an actress here, you have to be patient, committed to the craft, steadfast, and focused. 

On this journey, you will face a lot of hurdles. As a woman, you’ll encounter even more challenges, but when you stand for what you know is true, in the long run, you will make it.”

The actress also expressed her gratitude for her unique physique, which she considers a blessing. “I love and enjoy my stature. It’s a blessing. 

I love the way some producers and directors embrace it. With my stature, I can pass for a university student, play the role of Gen Z, or even a housewife. There is no role I cannot play with it,” she said.

Motola, however, admitted that balancing her career and personal life can be tough, especially when it comes to relationships.

“At times, one might not even have time for oneself, let alone for a relationship. But the best thing is to prioritize whatever one is entangled with. I am still single, and I believe God will do it in His own time,” she added.

The actress remains optimistic about her future in both her personal and professional life, continuing to inspire others with her dedication and resilience.
