She emphasized that her return to Nigeria was unrelated to the wildfires and urged media outlets to correct the misinformation.
Omotola expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of concern from fans and acknowledged the devastating impact of the wildfires, which have displaced thousands of residents, including prominent figures in Los Angeles.

Her statement read: “Ladies and gentlemen, I want to take a moment to address the incredible outpouring of concern and support I’ve received over the past few days regarding the fires in Los Angeles.
My family and I are safe. Reports suggesting I left the U.S. because of the fires are inaccurate. I have been in Nigeria since December 2024 and remain here.
“My heart remains with Los Angeles during this difficult time. It is not just a city to me—it’s a home and a community. As the fires continue to threaten lives and homes, my prayers are with everyone impacted, from first responders to those who have suffered unimaginable loss.”
