Meek Mill Offers to Buy TikTok Amid Potential US Ban

American rapper Meek Mill has expressed interest in purchasing TikTok as the app faces a potential ban in the United States.

This development follows President Joe Biden’s April 2024 law mandating TikTok’s Chinese owner, ByteDance, to either sell the platform or shut it down by January 19, 2025.

Although TikTok appealed the ruling to the US Supreme Court in December, the platform’s future remains uncertain.

During a press conference, President-elect Donald Trump acknowledged his “soft spot” for TikTok but confirmed his administration is considering all options, including a ban.

In light of this, Meek Mill took to social media platform X to share his proposal. “Sell TikTok to me,” he wrote, adding, “If they cut off TikTok, we going X and Fanbase.”

ByteDance now awaits the Supreme Court’s decision to determine TikTok’s fate, as speculation around the app’s future continues to grow.
