Speed Darlington’s Lawyer Challenges Burna Boy To Arrest Cubana Chief Priest For Defamation

The embattled singer Speed Darlington and his lawyer, Stan Alieke, have publicly urged Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy to maintain consistency by arresting socialite Pascal Okechukwu, better known as Cubana Chief Priest, for alleged defamation—just as Burna Boy reportedly had Darlington arrested over similar claims.  ‘

Recall that Cubana Chief Priest has been openly trolling Burna Boy on social media in response to what he perceived as a jab from the singer. In one of his posts, Chief Priest accused Burna Boy of engaging in an illicit relationship with American music mogul Diddy to secure a Grammy award.

This comes after Speed Darlington was arrested for making similar accusations against Burna Boy. Reacting to the unfolding events, Darlington’s lawyer, Stan Alieke, accused Burna Boy of selective justice and challenged him to treat Chief Priest’s allegations with the same seriousness.  

Sharing his thoughts on Instagram Stories, Alieke wrote:  

“Your petition claims that the Diddy and baby oil banter caused ‘irreparable damage to your international reputation and has made you lose a lot of gigs.’

“Now, someone with even greater reach and influence has made similar comments. The world is watching to see if you’ll engage the police and arrest him, as that seems to be your approach—or if the streets will interpret your silence as cowardice.  

“Well, I’m just a lawyer who believes justice should be impartial and fair.”
