Tinubu Arrives Enugu, Set to Commission Key State Projects

President Bola Tinubu landed at Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, on Saturday for an official one-day visit to the state.

Arriving aboard the Nigeria Air Force Airbus A330 at approximately 1:22 pm, the President was received by prominent political and business leaders, including Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, Abia State Governor Dr. Alex Otti, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu, former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim, and oil magnate Arthur Ezeh.

During his visit, President Tinubu is scheduled to commission several major projects, including:

– The Enugu International Conference Center, a state-of-the-art facility developed under Governor Mbah’s administration.

– 30 Enugu Smart Green Schools and 60 Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres, part of ongoing state efforts to establish 260 schools and healthcare centers across all wards in the state.

– 90 completed urban roads in Enugu City, enhancing the state’s infrastructure.

– A Command and Control Centre with advanced AI surveillance capabilities and 150 patrol vehicles equipped with AI-powered cameras.

– Several completed rural roads aimed at improving connectivity in the state.

Governor Mbah described the President’s visit as a testament to the administration’s collaborative efforts to transform the state’s infrastructure and social amenities.
