Court Denies Dele Farotimi Bail, Adjourns Case To December 20

The Magistrate Court in Ado-Ekiti has denied bail to human rights activist Dele Farotimi, who is facing charges of defamation against Aare Afe Babalola, the founder of Afe Babalola University (ABUAD).

During Tuesday’s hearing, Magistrate Abayomi Adeosun ruled to adjourn the bail application to December 20.

The court’s decision followed arguments from police counsel Samson Osobu, who asserted that Farotimi’s bail application was procedurally flawed and irregular.
