Court Nullify Abiante’s Suspension From PDP

Andoni-Opobo/Nkoro federal constituency in the House of Representatives, from The PDP,

It would be recalled that Hon Abiante was suspended from the party in May by a parallel PDP Ward Caretaker Executive loyal to the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike. The Lawmaker was accused of

anti-party activities, promoting factions at the ward level, and belonging to a group under the guise of the party.

Justice G.O. Ollor, in his judgment on Monday, December 2, stated that the factional PDP Caretaker Committee lacked the constitutional right to suspend The Lawmaker. He further stated that Abiante was not given a fair hearing, and emphasized that the action carried out by the factional leaders was illegal. He declared that the Federal Lawmaker’s suspension was unconstitutional, null and void and stands dismissed.

Hon .Abiante in his reaction to the judgement described those who suspended him as non members of PDP,  alleging that they are not registered members of the party in the ward adding that they were hired to disrupt the progress of Rivers State under Governor Fubara’s leadership, he said that they will continue to fail.
