Popular Nigerian singer Ruger has opened up about his struggles with relationships, revealing they are not suitable for his lifestyle or happiness.

In an interview on Naija FM, Ruger admitted that despite being a “loverboy” at heart, his interest in serious relationships quickly fades over time. He prioritizes his personal well-being and career above romantic commitments.

“I am a loverboy, but I’ve come to understand that relationships don’t work for me,” Ruger said. “When I see a girl, my first instinct is to think about how I can get serious with her, but eventually, I just become unserious all of a sudden.”

Ruger also clarified his stance on interactions with female fans, maintaining that his engagement with them remains professional.

“The most I can give my female fan on stage is a flower. It’s like we’re working together; that’s how it is for me. I don’t take it beyond the stage,” he explained.

Reflecting on his journey in the music industry, Ruger expressed gratitude for his success, acknowledging the challenges he faced along the way and the responsibilities he now shoulders.

“I don’t want to go back to the streets; I have to take care of my family. It wasn’t easy when I started, and it’s still not easy now. I pay people’s salaries, handle a lot of responsibilities, and plan everything by myself. God has been blessing my efforts,” he said.
