Bishop T.D. Jakes Stable After Health Scare During Sunday Sermon At Potter’s House

Bishop T.D. Jakes, the renowned leader of The Potter’s House megachurch in Dallas, Texas, is reportedly stable and receiving medical care following a health scare during Sunday’s service.

According to an official statement from the church, the 67-year-old bishop experienced difficulty breathing while delivering his sermon.

He paused to pray for strength before being assisted by church officials and receiving immediate medical attention. The church referred to the incident as a “slight health incident” and assured that Bishop Jakes is now stable.

“During today’s service, Bishop T.D. Jakes experienced a slight health incident and received immediate medical attention following his powerful hour-long message,” the church wrote in a brief message on its Facebook page.

“He is stable and under the care of medical professionals. We appreciate the outpouring of love, prayers, and support from the community.”

The church did not disclose further details regarding the cause of the health scare or if the bishop was hospitalized. However, it expressed gratitude for the support received from the congregation and requested continued prayers for Bishop Jakes.

Bishop T.D. Jakes, who founded The Potter’s House in 1996, has overseen its growth into one of the largest nondenominational churches in the world, with a membership exceeding 30,000.
