The Senate on Thursday approved President Bola Tinubu’s $2.2 billion loan request, aimed at addressing critical economic and infrastructural needs in the country.
The decision followed the presentation of a detailed report by Senator Aliyu Wamakko, the Chairman of the Committee on Local and Foreign Debt.
After a comprehensive review, the committee recommended the approval, which was endorsed by the Senate during the plenary session.

Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, who presided over the session, commended the committee for its timely and thorough evaluation of the loan request.
