JUST IN: INEC Declares Aiyedatiwa Winner Of Ondo Governorship Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress (APC) the winner of the 2024 Ondo State governorship election.

Aiyedatiwa triumphed by securing victory in all 18 local government areas of the state, including Ese Odo, the last result announced on Sunday at the State Collation Centre in Akure.

In the final results declared by the State Returning Officer, Prof. Olayemi Akinwumi, Aiyedatiwa garnered 366,781 votes to defeat his closest rival, Agboola Ajayi of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who polled 117,845 votes.

Prof. Akinwumi announced: “That Ayedatiwa Lucky Orimisan of APC, having satisfied the requirements of the law, is hereby returned elected.”

This victory underscores APC’s dominance in Ondo State, securing all local government areas in a landslide win.
