Netanyahu Dismisses Defense Minister Gallant Amid Trust Issues

In a significant shake-up during an ongoing conflict, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced the dismissal of Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, citing a breakdown of mutual trust as the primary reason.

In a formal letter delivered to Gallant, Netanyahu stated, “Your tenure will end 48 hours from the receipt of this letter,” and expressed gratitude for Gallant’s service.

The prime minister revealed in a video statement that while their collaboration was fruitful at the war’s onset, differences regarding military management had led to a “crisis of faith.”

Gallant’s recent approval for drafting an additional 7,000 ultra-Orthodox soldiers contradicted the interests of these parties.
