WAEC Announces 2024 Computer-Based Exams For Candidates

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that the Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates will take place from Friday, October 25, to Friday, December 20, 2024. 

In a statement released on Tuesday, WAEC revealed that the examination will utilize a hybrid delivery mode. Registration for the exam has been extended until Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

Candidates will complete multiple-choice questions on-screen, while essay and practical questions will also be displayed digitally, with responses recorded in provided answer booklets.

Additionally, candidates will have the option to take the entire exam using the traditional paper-and-pen method.

WAEC also introduced a “Walk-in Candidate” opportunity for those who register within 24 hours of their chosen exam paper. The final timetable for the exams is available for download on the WAEC Nigeria website.

Candidates are encouraged to utilize various learning resources offered by the Council, including the WAEC e-Study platform, WAEC Past Questions and Answers books, and the WAECKonnect platform for peer interaction.
