NAF Delivers Relief Materials To Borno Flood Victims On Behalf Of First Lady

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) successfully completed an airlift mission on Wednesday, 16 October 2024, delivering essential relief materials to flood victims in Borno State. 

According to Air Commodore Olusola Akinboyewa, NAF’s Director of Public Relations and Information, the supplies, donated by First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu under the Renewed Hope Initiative, were transported from Abuja to Maiduguri via the NAF’s C-130 Hercules aircraft.

The relief package included food, clothing, sanitary items, and toys for children, aimed at supporting communities affected by the 10 September flood disaster. 

Senior NAF officers, led by the Air Component Commander of Operation Hadin Kai, received the materials before handing them over to the Borno State Government for distribution.

The mission highlights NAF’s commitment to humanitarian assistance and the collaboration between the First Lady’s office and the NAF in alleviating the suffering of flood-affected communities in Borno. 

NAF has also launched a medical outreach and provided food assistance to over 2,000 displaced persons during the crisis.
