FG Directs IPMAN to Start Lifting Petrol Directly From Dangote Refinery

Following the recent announcement by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), the Federal Government has directed the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) to source Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) directly from the Dangote Refinery ¹.

This was revealed by IPMAN’s National President, Alh. Abubakar Shettima, on Thursday,October 10,2024 during an emergency meeting at the IPMAN National Secretariat. This decision follows extensive discussions between the National President and government officials.

In addition, the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) has been instructed to release N10 billion to IPMAN as part of the bridging claims owed to the association.

Alh. Shettima also informed members that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has been directed to refund unused ticket values for IPMAN members on its portal. These directives from the Federal Government are effective immediately.
